Bishop James E. Watson is a living example of a man who seeks the face and heartbeat of God. The Executive Pastor of Words of Deliverance Worldwide Ministries (WODWM) and CEO of Strong Man Ministries, he is a respected spiritual leader, philanthropist, and humanitarian. Bishop Watson is resolutely committed to creating and cultivating an authentic and safe church experience that glorifies God and exceeds all preconceived notions. Devoted to serving in excellence and with spiritual integrity, he maintains an unwavering compassion for people and seeks to provide practical spiritual solutions to problems persistently plaguing the body of Christ. Bishop Watson’s primary focus is to preach the gospel, through the power of God, so that families are healed as they resume their rightful place in the Kingdom. Fighting for families has thrust him onto the frontline of spiritual war for the lives of men a battle that is personal and imperative. He has become known for “Dat A’int It” his candid real talk sessions for men and women that get to the heart of people providing hope, help and healing.

An incessant learner focused on continuous self-improvement, Bishop Watson attended Marshall Walker High School and went on to study at the Richmond Virginia Seminary and Rhema School of Ministry in addition to undertaking various spiritual and leadership development opportunities. Through steadfast commitment to prayer, fasting and studying God’s word, Bishop Watson understands that vision and wisdom for Kingdom leadership comes from dedicated time spent listening to the voice of God.
Beyond the pulpit, professionally Bishop Watson has served as a leader in the commercial trucking industry and other entrepreneurial endeavors for over twenty years spreading the gospel to all he comes into contact with. For the sake of ministry, he sacrificed his twenty year career investment to work close to home and with those who needed an advocate. Spiritually, he has served as a member of the of the Baptist Ministers’ Convention, a men’s and youth minister, outreach coordinator, evangelist and teacher. Soon to be released is his book, “Man Talk,” an in your face dialogue tackling the issues facing men and Real, Relevant and Raw a Relationship Manual co-authored with his wife.
A faithful husband, beloved father and loyal friend, Bishop Watson is married to his best friend whom he appreciatively refers to as his “Caramel Covered Angel wrapped in scripture,” Dr. Nikita C. Garris-Watson, Senior Pastor of WODWM. Together they share four anointed and appointed children Quinton, Steven, Kyra and Sasha.
Bishop Watson’s personal motto is “meeting people where they are so they may get to God.” Recognizing that God has not finished with him yet he has patterned this season of his life on 2 Corinthians 5:17 - Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. – This is his BEHOLD season.
